Invisible & Waterproof Lace Glue

R250

Polyacrylate rubber copolymer: This ingredient is added to wig lace glue because it has adhesive properties that help the glue stick to the scalp and the lace. The polyacrylate rubber copolymer contains acrylic acid and a cross-linking agent that reacts with the moisture in the air to form a strong and flexible bond.

Deionized water: Deionized water is used as a solvent to dissolve the other ingredients in the wig lace glue. It is also added to maintain the consistency of the glue.

Surfactant 0: Surfactants are added to wig lace glue to reduce the surface tension between the glue and the scalp. This helps the glue to spread evenly and adhere better to the scalp.

Hydrocarbons Organic Wetting Agents: These are added to the wig lace glue to improve its wetting properties. They help to reduce the viscosity of the glue and make it easier to apply.

Citrus Oils: Citrus oils are used in wig lace glue as a fragrance and to improve the user experience. Additionally, they can act as natural solvents and can help to remove any residual glue from the scalp and lace.

Overall, these ingredients are carefully selected and added to wig lace glue to provide a strong and flexible adhesive that is easy to apply and remove, while also providing a pleasant user experience.

  1. FDA Approval Status: Polyacrylate rubber copolymer, Deionized water, and Surfactant 0 are all generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA, which means that they are considered safe for use in foods and cosmetics. Hydrocarbons are also commonly used in cosmetics and have been deemed safe by the FDA. Citrus oils are generally recognized as safe as well, but there are some concerns about their phototoxicity and potential for skin irritation.

  2. PCPC Approval Status: All of the ingredients in wig lace glue are approved by the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) for use in cosmetics.

  3. CIR Approval Status: The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) is an independent panel of scientific experts that assesses the safety of cosmetic ingredients. Polyacrylate rubber copolymer, Deionized water, Surfactant 0, and hydrocarbons have all been reviewed by the CIR and are considered safe for use in cosmetics at the concentrations typically used. Citrus oils have also been reviewed by the CIR, and their use is considered safe in cosmetics, but there are limitations on their use due to their potential to cause skin irritation and photosensitivity.

Sustainability, naturalness, organic and healthfulness of these ingredients: Polyacrylate rubber copolymer is a synthetic polymer, so it is not a natural or organic ingredient, but it can be made sustainably and has a low environmental impact. Deionized water is a natural ingredient that is generally considered safe and healthy. Surfactant 0 is a synthetic surfactant that is used in small amounts and is considered safe for use in cosmetics. Hydrocarbons are derived from petroleum and are not natural or organic, but they can be sustainably produced. Citrus oils are natural and organic ingredients that are often used in aromatherapy and have potential health benefits, but they can also be phototoxic and irritating to the skin in some individuals. Overall, the safety and sustainability of these ingredients depend on factors such as the source and production methods used.

  1. Use the Prismatic lace tint spray 10 minutes before applying the wig to allow drying. Our lace tint spray allows you to dye to lace a darker colour, so you can refrain from using foundation on the lace, which reduces the hold. (Go to the lace tint spray to read about the directions for use)
  2. Cleanse the skin: Cleanse the area around your hairline with a mild cleanser and water to remove any oils or dirt.
  3. Use Prime and Protect spray to appropriately prepare the skin for the glue application, which will extend the hold for 48 hours.
  4. Dry the skin: Make sure the skin is completely dry before applying the lace glue. Do not use a towel to pat the area dry, rather set the hairdryer or low heat and gently blow on the area until dry.
  5. Apply the glue: Apply a thin layer of the lace glue directly onto your skin. Use an applicator brush to spread the glue evenly across your hairline.
  6. Wait for the glue to dry and then repeat another 2 layers on top of the first one: Allow the last and final layer of glue to dry for about 30 seconds or until it becomes tacky. You can use a blow dryer on low setting to speed up the drying process.
  7. Apply the lace to the last layer of tacky glue: Carefully place the tinted lace onto the glue, starting at the front hairline and working your way back. Press down on the lace to ensure it is secure.
  8. Use the hairdryer again to ensure the glue is completely dry and the lace is secured to your skin.
  9. Style your hair: Once the lace is securely in place and dry, style your hair as desired.

Note: In the highly unlikely event if you experience any irritation or discomfort, remove the lace immediately and discontinue use of the lace glue.
